I believe in the beginning they had planned on paying me at some point now I'm not sure. I worked with Kamau Z. Akabueze on a campaign that he brought me in. The turnaround time was one week. I sat on 5 calls, while each call lasted an hour. I wanted to make sure I put something on paper as I was hired to come up with ideas. So I sent them some of the ideas that I had, as an initial conversation to get things going. I was met with radio silence. The company went dark for 3 days until I finally looped in my point of contact. I was told none of my ideas that I had presented to them in several meetings which they loved hadn't been any good. I was then Yelled out and talked to like I was a kid about feedback by 45-year man. It seemed pretty unusual because I didn't hear my work wasn't up to standards until I didn't want to attend the meeting. Needless to say we ended the contract early. I sent over the invoice on Feb 4th and it is now close to net 60.
Here is his explanation to why I haven't been paid
:
As we noted on March 12, we’ve submitted the invoice for payment.
We’ll be in touch with any orgs that you’ve filed your complaint with based on the correspondence we’ve had with you and your legal representative.
Our payment terms are the same upon the filing of an invoice, and as we noted to your legal representative in our phone conversation February 4, we would process the invoice upon confirmation that the 50% settlement satisfied the overall matter.
This confirmation was delivered to us on March 12, confirmed by Ann on March 12 and today is March 19.
I am not sure what other expectations you’ve established without our direct communication, but we have been direct and clear.
