We believe that true creativity lies not in the multi-million dollar ad industry but in the multi-billion dollar industries that support it. And that enduring ideas at the heart of every great brand are seldom created in the mind of someone who went to ad school.
That's not to say advertising isn't important. But the role of communication is to make sure that a consumer can see clearly to the soul of the brand without having to stumble over an agency's imagined wit and cleverness. We think the most effective advertising allow consumers to participate in a brand.
We also believe that advertising should be disposable and effective not expensive and precious. If you can make an entire newspaper in 24 hours it shouldn't take 9 months to make a poster.
In the last few years we've made a lot of ads. But then we've also made a lot of everything: place mats, action toys, chocolate, children's books, web sites, logos, 'beating' cards, online games, comics, documentaries, billboards, soft drinks, vitamin supplements, print ads, direct mail, emails, packaging, and stationary.

Why? because it's fun, that's why.
